Equi Consignment Ireland ("ECI", "we", "us") is a pre-loved equestrian consignment business based in Gorey, Co. Wexford, Ireland. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our consignment service.

What data we collect
Contact details you provide: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and any message content when you contact us, place an order, or consign items.
Order and payment information: items purchased, order totals, delivery details, and a payment reference. Card details are processed directly by our payment provider (Stripe) and never stored on our servers.
Consignment information: descriptions, photographs and pricing of items you consign, along with the records needed to trace ownership and pay you out.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and referring URLs, collected through standard server logs and cookies for security and basic analytics.
How we use your data
To process and deliver orders, manage returns, and provide customer support.
To manage consignment agreements, advertise consigned items, trace ownership, and pay consignors.
To send transactional emails (order confirmations, dispatch notifications, account changes). Marketing emails are only sent with your consent and you can unsubscribe at any time.
To detect fraud, secure the site, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service.
Legal basis (GDPR)
Contract: processing necessary to fulfil orders and consignment agreements.
Legitimate interests: running and securing the website, preventing fraud, and basic analytics that do not override your rights.
Legal obligation: tax, accounting and consumer-law record-keeping.
Consent: optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How long we keep data
Order and accounting records: 7 years, as required by Irish Revenue rules.
Consignment records: for the duration of the agreement and up to 24 months after, in line with our consignment terms.
Account and marketing data: until you ask us to delete it or withdraw consent.
Server logs: typically up to 90 days.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and request portability of data you provided to us.
